Program MasterChef Australia memasuki Musim ke-5, mempertengahkan 22 pencabar baru yang membunyai latar belakang yang berbeza, pengetahuan dari skill kulinari yang tidak sama. Masing-masing berentap di satu pentas merebut gelaran juara MasterChef Austaralia Musim Ke-5
Para pesertapelbagai bangsa, jantina dan usia berentap setiap minggu untuk mencuri hati juri dengan hasil masakan yang disediakan.
Juri tetap terdiri daripada George Calombaris, Gary Mehigan dan Matt Preston
Yang mana 3 juri chef /hos tetap rancangan ini sememangnya pakar dalam bidang kulinari dan masakan. Masing-masing mempunyai pengalaman yang hebat dan personaliti yang mengagumkan. Paling menarik selain penglibatan 3 chef ini dalam dunia masakan antarabangsa, George, Gary dan Matt juga mempunyai buku resepi mereka sendiri di pasaran.
Selain dari juri chef di atas, setiap siri akan disertai juga dengan juri jemputan yang dijemput khas. Antaranya seperti Antonio Carluccio, Stephanie Alexander, Curtis Stone, Shannon Bennett, Maggie dan Guillaume Brahimi. Pelbagai ujian skil yang terpaksa diharungi oleh semua peserta selain daripada beberapa tips yang dikongsi oleh juri tetap dan juga juri jemputan.
Menarikkan??
Cabaran memasak setiap minggu memang berlainan. Adakalanya kita nampak mudah tapi sebenarnya jika kita tahu teknik memasak dengan betul masakan yang dihasilkan pasti menjadi sedap dan sempurna. Contohnya dalam teknik menggoreng, suhu minyak sangat penting bagi memastikan hasil gorengan kita menjadi ranggup dan lembut. Saya juga belajar, sekiranya minyak terlalu panas, untuk mengurangkan kepanasan kita perlu tambah dengan minyak sejuk. Begitu juga bahan yang menggunakan agen asid makanan seperti tomato tidak boleh dikombinasikan dengan lemon dan sewaktu dengannya. Dalam menghasilkan kuah marinara/spagethi yang sedap, penggunaan minyak zaitun sangat penting. Ianya mampu meningkatkan rasa kesedapan hidangan yang disediakan.

22 brand new contestants arrive at Melbourne's iconic MCG to settle one of the oldest rivalries of all - Men vs. Women. The teams cook their interpretation of a family dinner.
#2 Protein Pick - Face-Off
The Battle of the Sexes continues, but this time contestants cook individually, with the bottom six facing an elimination challenge.
#3 Invention Test
Six contestants cook in the very first Elimination Challenge for MasterChef Series 5. The contestants cook using only what is in their home pantry and fridge.
#4 MasterClass 1
The first MasterClass of the season.
#5 Boot Camp: Lamb
Battle Of The Sexes continues in Barossa Valley. The contestants must break down a lamb carcass in relay style, with 3 minutes each, until one team has ten cuts of meat.
#6 Boot Camp: Chicken
The contestants arrive at Maggie Beer's property where Maggie demonstrates skinning a chicken in one piece and how to break it down. Each team then cooks four of Maggie Beer's recipes in tag-team style.
#7 Boot Camp: Seafood
The contestants gather at Seppeltsfield winery, where the contestants pick their own three champions to take part in a relay shucking oysters, shelling prawns and filleting flathead.
#8 Boot Camp: Double Elimination Challenge
Two contestants go home today after facing the protein that placed them in the bottom six, while the winners of the Battle Of The Sexes get to set the House Rules back in Melbourne.
#9 MasterClass 2
The second MasterClass of the season.
#10 Kid's Week
Each contestant has 60 minutes to make the best dish they can using the mystery ingredients in their lunch box. The winners go through to Round 2, where kids take over the judging.
#11 Blindman's Pantry Immunity Challenge
The top five contestants have one minute to visit a pitch-black pantry and must cook with whatever they bring out.
#12 Old School Rivalry
The contestants split into teams to feed 450 hungry teenagers at lunchtime.
#13 Pressure Test - Lolly Cake: Elimination
After two rounds of quick-fire pressure tests, the bottom three contestants must compete in baking an 11-layer cake, in which each layer is inspired by a traditional lolly.
#14 MasterClass 3
The third MasterClass of the season.
#15 Lygon St - Italian Week
Contestants separate into teams, with each team running a food stall in Lygon Street. They have three hours to cook and sell.
#16 Pressure Test: Elimination
Contestants must make a signature dish from restaurant Stefano's in Mildura, with chef Stefano De Pieri himself helping to choose the worst dish of the night.
#17 Pizza Restaurant Challenge
The MasterChef kitchen is turned into a pizzeria, with two teams creating 4 pizza options. Each team must cook and feed 130 diners, as well as manage home deliveries.
#18 Italian Week
The eight losing contestants from the previous pizza battle have 60 minutes to cook an Italian inspired dish of their choice.
#19 MasterClass 4
The fourth MasterClass of the season.
#20 Wild West
The contestants travel to Perth, Western Australia, where they split into teams and catch their protein on the prawn trawlers behind them and have 60 minutes to cook.
#21 Wild West - Guillaume: Immunity
The winning team from the Prawn Challenge gather at Guillaume where only one of them will be chosen to cook against guest chef Russell Blaikie from Must Winebar for immunnity.
#22 Wild West - Cattle Battle
The contestants arrive at Kylagh Station, a working cattle in York, WA. Contestants split into teams and must cook a buffet lunch over an open fire for the 20 hungry stockmen and women.
#23 Wild West - Greenhouse: Elimination
The three worst performers from the Cattle Battle arrive at the Greenhouse kitchen, where they meet owner/chef Matt Stone. Each contestant must cook part of Matt's six-dish tasting plate menu for 80 diners.
#24 MasterClass 5
The fifth MasterClass of the season.
#25 Heaven & Hell: Mystery Box
Contestants divide into teams and must choose whether they cook the Heaven or Hell Mystery Box.
#26 Heaven & Hell: Elimination
The two losing teams from the Heaven & Hell Mystery Box Challenge face elimination today.
#27 Heaven & Hell: Seven Deadly Sins
Contestants split into 2 teams and have two hours to prepare a banquet for 70 diners using ingredients representing Seven Deadly Sins.
#28 Heaven & Hell: Last Supper Elimination
The seven losing contestants from the Seven Deadly Sins service challenge must cook their own 'last supper'. Emotions run high as each contestant tells the judges the story behind their personal dish.
#29 MasterClass 6
The sixth MasterClass of the season.
#30 Fast Food Week: Mystery Box
It's Fast Food Week, and contestants must divide into teams and create their own version of three fast food classics - the burger, fried chicken and a kebab.
#31 Fast Food Week: Auction Elimination
The three losing contestants from the Mystery Box Challenge must bid for the ingredients they want to cook with in a rapid fire auction - more minutes spent means less minutes for cooking.
#32 Fast Food Week: Rally Challenge
The contestants arrive at Max's at Red Hill Estate to discover they will be cooking club sandwiches for 50 Alfa Romeo car club enthusiasts after completing a MasterChef car rally.
#33 Fast Food Week: Hot Dog Elimination
The five losing contestants from the Rally Challenge must recreate guest chef Daniel Wilson's 'Perfect Hot Dog'.
#34 MasterClass 7
The seventh MasterClass of the season.
#35 Returning Contestants Week: Mystery Box
Eliminated contestants return to fight for the chance to return to the MasterChef Kitchen. They team up with remaining contestants and compete in challenges to see who will return to the competition.
#36 Identical Twins
Contestants must work in pairs to make the same dish where each dish must be identical in taste and appearance. The twist: they will not be able to see or taste their partner's dish.
#37 Returning Contestants Week: The Freezer
Guest chef Nick Palumbo from Sydney's Gelato Messina joins contestants as they attempt to recreate his famous Black Forest Cake while 'cooking' in a giant freezer.
#38 Butter Invention Test
Contestants must cook one sweet and one savoury featuring the 'hero' ingredient: butter. The winning team earns an immunity pin for one member and a triumphant return to the competition for the other.
#39 MasterClass 8
The eighth MasterClass of the season.

Dalam senarai cabaran yang diberikan kepada peserta, saya paling suka dengan tema dalam Kid's Week. Apatah lagi bahan yang perlu digunakan adalah dari kotak misteri :)
Cuma di sini saya nak kongsikan satu hidangan yang digemari oleh My Amani. Yup, my Amani memang suka makan makanan yang berasaskan telur, selain daripada telur direbus separuh masak, omelette. Saya juga suka mevariasikan cara masakan yang dicampurkan bahan lain dengan telur.
Telur dipecahkan dulu dalam mangkuk berasingan. Dikhuatiri adanya kotoran kita boleh bersihkan terus.
Dipukul sehingga kembang...Saya suka menggunakan garfu telur mudah dipukul kembang
Kali ni saya goreng telur bersama cendawan Abalone
Goreng dengan menggunakan sedikit minyak zaitun.
Masukkan segala semua bahan..
Campurkan 3 bahan perasa utama dalam kuantiti yang berpatutan ~ sos tiram, kicap cair dan kicap seasoning.
Sebab kita dah gunakan bahan perisa yang ada rasa masin. Penambahan garam tidak diperlukan.
Boleh makan panas-panas begitu sahaja. Ataupun makan bersama nasi mahupun roti.
